Foreign Trade Officer (Import & Export)

Job Responsibilities

• Handle the Import/Export L/Cs, BTB L/C, L/C Amendment, Checking & scrutiny of L/C Documents, Notification of Discrepancy, Lodgment, Payment Settlement, Retirement of Document, and Purchase of Local / Foreign Bills etc.
• Checking the terms of Sanction Advice and availability of Limit.
• Ensure regulatory reporting and Bill of Entry Matching/Reporting /Filing
• Processing cash incentive files, EDF claim/settlement
• Disbursement, monitoring & follow-up of loan portfolio.
• Review & update the Import/Export portfolio.
• Ensure accurate & timely submission of returns/statements to Head Office & other regulators.
• Handle the Internal & External Auditors.
• Dealing with the customers, explain customer’s about available service options along with terms & conditions and assess customers’ requirement.
• Any other responsibility as & when assigned by the management of the bank from time to time.

Additional Requirements

• Age at most 40 years
• Both males and females are allowed to apply
• Must have branch banking exposure and in-depth knowledge on various issues of Import/ Export transactions as well as updated regulations.
• Well conversant with Import/Export operation & SWIFT operation.
• Good understanding of Trade Finance Market. Good marketing & selling ability.
• Should have sound knowledge of ICC Rules, ICC Publications – UCP/URC/URR, AML & Sanction Policies, Risk Management & Control, Bangladesh Bank’s guidelines for foreign exchange transactions etc.
• Excellent inter-personal, communication & presentation skills with strong analytical ability and leadership quality.
• Strong IT knowledge and good command over Microsoft Word, Excel and Power-point.
• Must be proactive and be able to work under minimum supervision.
• Ability to work under pressure.
